Embedding a Map or Directions

Adding a map is a common request for contact or pages. This site uses a built-in Map block rather than a Google Maps embed, so you’ll need the coordinates of the location rather than an embed code.

Steps

1. Find the latitude and longitude of the location. You can get this from Google Maps: search for the place, right-click the pin, and the coordinates will appear at the top of the menu (click to copy them).
2. In the WordPress editor, add a “Map” block.
3. Enter the latitude and longitude into the block’s location fields.
4. Adjust the zoom level and marker/title as needed.
5. Preview to check it displays correctly.

If you can’t find the Map block

If it’s not available in the block inserter, a simple link to the map (“Get Directions”) added as a normal text link or button pointing to a Google Maps search URL is a good fallback.
